Note on the responsible body
The City of Singen, represented by Lord Mayor Bernd Häusler, takes the protection of your personal data very seriously as the responsible body (see imprint for more details). We treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with statutory data protection regulations and this privacy policy. Various personal data is collected when you use this website. Personal data is information that can be used to identify you personally. This privacy policy explains what data we collect and how we use it. It also explains how and for what purpose this is done, and draws your attention to the fact that data transmission over the internet (e.g. when communicating by email) may be subject to security vulnerabilities. It is not possible to provide complete protection of data against access by third parties.

1. SSL or TLS encryption
This site uses SSL or TLS encryption for security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as orders or enquiries that you send to us as the site operator. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the address line of the browser changing from 'http://' to 'https://', as well as by the lock symbol in the browser line. If SSL or TLS encryption is activated, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.

2. Data collection and processing when accessing from the internet
The provider of this website automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are:

• Name of the data retrieved
• Date and time of retrieval
• Amount of data transferred
• Message as to whether the retrieval was successful or not
• Operating system used
• Web browser used
• IP address
• Page from which the file was requested
• Provider

This data is only used for statistical analysis and to improve the website. This data is not merged with data from other sources. IP addresses are deleted after seven days.

The legal basis for processing data is Article 6. 6 para. 1, paragraph 1, letter b) of the GDPR, which permits the processing of personal data for the fulfilment of a contract to which the data subject is a party, or for the implementation of pre-contractual measures taken at the data subject's request, provided that this is necessary.

3. Cookies
Some web pages use cookies. These cookies do not damage your computer or contain viruses. They are used to make our website more user-friendly, effective and secure. They are small text files stored on your computer by your browser, and most of the cookies we use are 'session cookies'. These are automatically deleted at the end of your visit. Other cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them. These cookies allow us to recognise your browser when you visit us again.

a. Consent with Usercentrics
This website uses Usercentrics' consent technology to obtain your consent to store certain cookies or use certain technologies on your end device, and to document this in accordance with data protection regulations. The provider of this technology is Usercentrics GmbH, Sendlinger Straße 7, 80331 Munich, Germany (website: usercentrics.com). 4. Contact form
If you send us enquiries via the contact form, the details you provide in the enquiry form, including your contact data, will be stored in the inbox of our general email address, tourist-info@singen.de, for the purpose of processing the enquiry and for follow-up questions, if necessary. This data will not be passed on without your consent, and will therefore be processed exclusively on the basis of your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR and Art. 7 GDPR). You can revoke this consent at any time. Simply send us an informal email to do so. The legality of the data processing operations carried out until the revocation remains unaffected by the revocation. The data you enter in the contact form will remain with us until you request its deletion, withdraw your consent to its storage, or the purpose of its storage no longer applies (e.g. after your enquiry has been processed). At the end of each calendar year, we delete all enquiries received by email via the contact form during the year. Mandatory statutory provisions, in particular retention periods, remain unaffected.

If you contact companies, accommodation providers, associations or organisations directly via an email address or contact form listed on our website, your data will be transmitted directly to the respective addressee via the internet. We do not have access to this data and do not store it in any form.

5. Use and disclosure of personal data
Your personal data will only be used for the stated purposes and to the extent necessary to achieve them. It will not be passed on to third parties. Personal data will only be transferred to state institutions and authorities if required by mandatory national legislation, or if necessary for legal or criminal prosecution in the event of attacks on our network infrastructure. Data will not be passed on for any other purpose.
Competitions held via our website or our Facebook or Instagram channels only request data necessary for evaluating and, if applicable, dispatching prizes. As an exception to the above guideline, we may occasionally forward your contact details to the institution providing the prizes for that month, for example to clarify registration procedures or ticket dispatch. If we temporarily store your personal data locally in Microsoft Excel to help us organise the competition better, we will delete it from our records no later than one month after the end of the competition. Any personal data that you send us via private messages on social networks such as Facebook and Instagram is subject to the respective data protection regulations of the companies. However, rest assured that we will never pass your data on to third parties, except in the context of the aforementioned competition campaigns.

6. Analysis tools and advertising
a. Google Analytics
This website uses the Google Analytics web analysis service. The provider is Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. Google Analytics uses cookies. These are text files that are stored on your computer and enable your use of the website to be analysed. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. The storage of Google Analytics cookies is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in analysing user behaviour to optimise its website and advertising.

b. IP anonymisation
We have activated the IP anonymisation function on this website. This means that Google will truncate your IP address within European Union member states or other signatory states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area before transmitting it to the USA. Only in exceptional cases will your full IP address be sent to a Google server in the US, where it will then be truncated. Google will use this information, on behalf of the operator of this website, to analyse your use of the website, compile reports on website activity, and provide the website operator with other services relating to website and internet activity. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data.

c. Contract data processing
We have concluded an electronic contract with Google for data processing and fully implement the strict requirements of the German data protection authorities when using Google Analytics.

d. Demographic characteristics in Google Analytics
This website uses the 'Demographic Characteristics' function of Google Analytics. This allows reports to be created containing information about the age, gender and interests of visitors to the site. This data originates from interest-based advertising by Google and visitor data from third-party providers. This data cannot be assigned to a specific person. You can deactivate this feature at any time via the ad settings in your Google account, or you can generally prohibit Google Analytics from collecting your data as described in the 'Objection to data collection' section.

e. Google Analytics Remarketing
Our websites use Google Analytics Remarketing in conjunction with the cross-device functions of Google AdWords and Google DoubleClick. This function is provided by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA, and makes it possible to link the advertising target groups created with Google Analytics Remarketing with the cross-device functions of Google AdWords and Google DoubleClick. This means that interest-based, personalised advertising messages adapted to you based on your previous usage and browsing behaviour on one device (e.g. a mobile phone) can also be displayed on another device (e.g. a tablet or PC) that you use. If you have given your consent, Google will link your web and app browsing history to your Google account for this purpose. This means that the same personalised advertising messages can be displayed on any device that you sign in to with your Google account.

To support this function, Google Analytics temporarily links Google-authenticated user IDs to our Google Analytics data in order to define and create target groups for cross-device advertising. You can object to cross-device remarketing/targeting permanently by deactivating personalised advertising in your Google account. Aggregation of data collected in your Google account is based exclusively on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) and Art. 7 GDPR). For data collection processes that are not merged into your Google account (e.g. because you do not have a Google account, or because you have opted out of merging), data collection is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR and Art. 7 GDPR. This legitimate interest arises because the website operator wants to analyse website visitors anonymously for advertising purposes. f. Google Tag Manager
This website uses Google Tag Manager. Google Tag Manager is a tool that enables marketers to manage website tags via a centralised interface. The Tag Manager tool itself (which implements the tags) is a cookie-less domain and does not collect any personal data. However, the tool triggers other tags, which may collect data. Google Tag Manager does not access this data. If deactivation has been implemented at the domain or cookie level, this remains in place for all tracking tags implemented with Google Tag Manager.

g. Browser Plugin
You can prevent cookies from being stored by adjusting your browser settings; however, please note that you may not be able to use all of this website's functions to their full extent in this case. 7. Social Media
a. Instagram-Plugin
The functions of the Instagram service are integrated into our pages. These functions are provided by Instagram Inc., 1601 Willow Road, Menlo Park, CA 94025, USA. If you are logged into your Instagram account, you can share our page content on your Instagram profile by clicking the Instagram button. This enables Instagram to link your visit to our pages to your user account. Please note that, as the provider of these pages, we have no knowledge of the content of the transmitted data or how Instagram uses it. b. Youtube
Our website uses plugins from YouTube, which is operated by Google. YouTube, LLC (901 Cherry Ave, San Bruno, CA 94066, USA) operates the pages. When you visit one of our pages with a YouTube plugin, a connection is established with the YouTube servers. YouTube is informed which of our pages you have visited. If you are logged in to your YouTube account, YouTube can assign your browsing behaviour directly to your personal profile. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account. 8. Integration of third-party services and content
a. OPENSTREETMAP
We use maps from the OpenStreetMap service (https://www.openstreetmap.org), which are provided under the Open Data Commons Open Database Licence (ODbL) by the OpenStreetMap Foundation (OSMF). Privacy policy: https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Privacy_Policy.

To the best of our knowledge, OpenStreetMap only uses user data for displaying map functions and for temporarily storing selected settings. This data may include users' IP addresses and location data. However, this data is not collected without users' consent, which is usually granted as part of their mobile device settings.

b. Third-party content
This online offering may include third-party content, such as videos from YouTube, maps from Google Maps, or content from other websites. This presupposes that the providers of this content (hereinafter referred to as 'third-party providers') recognise the user's IP address. This is because, without the IP address, they would not be able to send the content to the user's respective browser. Therefore, the IP address is required to display this content. We only use content whose providers use the IP address solely for delivery purposes. However, we have no influence over whether third-party providers store IP addresses for statistical purposes, for example. If we become aware of this, we will inform users accordingly.

c. Links to other providers' websites
Our websites may contain links to the websites of other providers. Please note that this privacy policy applies exclusively to the erlebe.singen.de website. We have no influence over, nor do we check, whether other providers comply with the applicable data protection regulations.

9. Affiliate programme and affiliate links
Bodensee Card PLUS
We include affiliate links to the Bodensee Card PLUS offer from IBT GmbH on this website as part of our online offering. If you order a Bodensee Card PLUS via our website, you will be forwarded directly to the IBT GmbH web shop via an affiliate link as part of a partner agreement between us and IBT GmbH, the issuer of the Bodensee Card PLUS. If you follow the affiliate links or subsequently take advantage of the Bodensee Card PLUS offer, we may receive a commission or other benefits from IBT GmbH, the provider of the affiliate programme (collectively referred to as 'commission').

All contract-related data, including your personal details, will be processed exclusively by IBT GmbH for the purposes of contract fulfilment. We do not have access to the personal data entered in the IBT GmbH webshop.

10. User rights: information, authorisation and deletion
Within the framework of the applicable legal provisions, you have the right to receive free information at any time about your stored personal data, its origin, the recipients and the purpose of the data processing. Provided it does not conflict with a legal obligation to retain data (e.g. data retention), you have the right to have incorrect data corrected and to have your personal data blocked or deleted.
